FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to dental instruments and can be used in dental practice for ablation of interdental septa during formation of preliminary basic layer for application of correcting mass by method of obtaining two-stage double-layer impression by means of elastomers. Instrument represents two lamellate branches of medical forceps, located near each other in longitudinal direction of axis. Branches are rigidly connected and have support surfaces for fingers on opposite sides. Working cutting surface of instrument is made in form of 8-10 mm long steel string with diameter from 0.0008 to 0.013 inches, connecting working ends of branches on periphery.

EFFECT: invention ensures optimal interaction of working part of instrument with planned for ablation section of basic layer, prevention of crushing interdental papilla of oral cavity, accuracy of re-application of impression with correcting mass into oral cavity, as well as facilitation of dentist's manipulation for preparation of basic layer by method of two-stage double-layer impression by means of elastomers.
