FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a needle protector system. The needle protector system comprises a needle and a needle enclosure. The needle is attached to a needle sleeve which is movable with respect to the enclosure between a use position in which at least a needle tip is out of the enclosure, and a retracted position in which the needle is found in the enclosure completely. The protector system in addition contains a closure mechanism fastening the needle sleeve inside the enclosure when the sleeve is found in the retracted position. The closure mechanism contains at least one pair of the first and second mating locks when the needle sleeve is in the retracted position. The first lock is provided on the needle sleeve, while the second lock is provided on the enclosure. The first lock is basically shaped as a horn or a slant of the radial size increasing towards the needle tip, and made so that the radial size of the first lock can be decreased under restoring force, and is mounted in the field of the nearest end of the needle sleeve.
EFFECT: provided needle protector system ensuring reliable protection against incidental needle prick, eg a disposable medical device and which can be made easily and cheaply.
