FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst used in hydrogen cracking of paraffin hydrocarbons and to method of producing fuel main component. Hydrogen cracking catalyst comprises carrier containing ultra stable Y-type zeolite produced by ultra stabilization of NaY-type zeolite and metal of group VIII of periodic table applied on said carrier. Note here that NaY-type zeolite features peak on X-ray diagram in the range of 2θ=28.0°-28.5° and 2θ=15.0°-16.0°, and I1/I2 ratio not exceeding 0.05, taking that I1 is intensity peak observed in the range of 2θ=28.0°-28.5°, while I2 is intensity peak observed in the range of 2θ=15.0°-16.0°. Invention covers also method of producing fuel base stock including hydrocracking of paraffin hydrocarbon in the presence of above described catalyst and fraction rectification of cracking product.
EFFECT: high cracking activity and yield of medium distillate.
