FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for formation consists in assembly of elements of friction pair into single unit and in forming lubricating layer in produced gap; layer functions as "third body". This "body" is created in process of transfer of surfaces constituting this pair of elements one relative to another. Additional field physical effect is imposed on the "third body" originated in a contact zone; physical effect corresponds to rotating magnetic field generated through one of elements from an external source. Through this effect components included into volume of the "third body" are activated. The "third body" is effected periodically at moments, when the second derivative of function is equal to zero at continuously recorded chart of stress difference characterising condition of interacting surfaces. When the same result is recorded in a specified time interval, effect of magnetic field is stopped. One or two elements made of material possessing ferro-magnetic properties are additionally treated before assembly of the unit. Here there is also claimed the device for implementation of the above said procedure. The device consists of elements forming the friction pair. On one of the elements there is arranged a generator of field physical effect made in form of a closed magnetic circuit corresponding to interconnected sets of magnetic conducting plates. Further, the device consists of a measuring sensor mounted on one of the elements and recording change of parameters. In a body of the sets of plates there are installed windings-coils electrically connected with the external source. One of the plate sets has a through slot encasing the element performing a function of a locking link for magnetic flow generated in the circuit.
EFFECT: raised wear resistance of elements of friction pairs, creation of conditions for their stable and continuous operation without supply of lubricant and additives to surface.
