FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to machine building and metallurgy and can be used for removal of scale layers. Proposed method comprise generating physical filed to act on treated part surface, acting by actuator along the entire treated surface, said actuator being moved in the zone of its contact with metal outer layers in synchronism with magnetic field generated in the same zone. Variable magnetic filed makes aforesaid physical field, while mechanical roller makes said actuator. Treated part proper acts as connecting link that closes magnetic field generated in the circuit used. Treatment by variable magnetic field is performed at field intensity in treatment zone of 1×103 - 1×106 A/m, and frequency of 20-70 Hz. Cleaning is carried out in two passes: during the first pass mechanical roller with soft head from plastic material is used, while roller with steel tip is used during the second pass. Proposed device allows implementing the claimed method.
