FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: what is described is a method for making a biological venous-valve prosthesis comprising valve-containing segments of bovine vein preserved in 2-5 % ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether at temperature 18-30°C for 21 days; a biomaterial is then gradually modified by layers in heparin solution 100 Unit/ml for 16 hours, then in human albumin solution 3-20 g/l at pH 3.5-6.0 for 3 hours and over again in heparin solution for 4 hours. Before use, the biological prosthesis is stored in 2 % ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether.
EFFECT: improved hemocompatibility of the biological prosthesis ensured by modification of the valve-containing segments of bovine vein preserved in ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether.
