FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves reaction of polydienes in the presence of a catalyst with chloroform and an olefin oxide. The reaction takes place in polydiene solution in chloroform. The catalyst used is lithium chloride in form of a solution in polypropylene oxide. The olefin oxide used is epichlorohydrin or propylene oxide. The process takes place in molar ratio polydiene : olefin oxide : chloroform : catalyst equal to 1:(1.0-2.0):(3.0-3.5):(0.007-0.014).

EFFECT: simple method of producing polydienes with different molecular weight and structure, which contain dichlorocyclopropane groups.
