FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: piston compressor with water cooling, with at least one piston (5) for compression of air is driven with devices generating linear oscillating propulsive force. The compressor axially travels in case (1) of a cylinder block closed with cylinder head (3) from an end side. The compressor is equipped with devices for water cooling. The latter include case (1) of the cylinder block initially having double walls. On the end side of the case facing head (3) of the cylinder there are made several orifices (7) for cooling. Coolant passing through these orifices and double walls of case (1) of the cylinder block contacts a zone of cylinder head (3). There is connection (9) functioning as an outlet orifice for coolant and second connection (18) as an inlet orifice positioned either on head (3), or also on the case. The case of the cylinder block is washed on both sides.
EFFECT: uniform cooling effect.
