METHOD FOR CREATING ARTERIOVENOUS FISTULA OF FEMORAL VEIN AND SUPERFICIAL FEMORAL ARTERY IN THROMBECTOMY FROM ILIAC AND FEMORAL VEINS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: it involves thrombectomy from iliac and common femoral (CFV) veins. After thrombectomy, a femoral vein (FV) is separated in a distal direction at 5-7 cm from an entry of a deep femoral vein (DFV) and cut off. Its peripheral end is ligated. A vein opening in the CFV is extended on an anterior wall of the FV for the whole length of the remained stump of the FV. Lateral walls of the FV are excise along the whole length with a posterior wall of the FV left. The vein opening in the CFV is closed by a uninterrupted suture with transiting to the prepared femoral vein. After two-three first sutures, the further vein formation for fistula is carried out by a catheter in diameter 0.2-0.3 cm. The catheter is laid longitudinally on the prepared FV; the border of the FV is turned on the catheter and sutured together by an uninterrupted suture creating thereby a preset diameter of the created fistula. Thereafter, the vein is anastomosed to an end of the superficial femoral artery.

EFFECT: method allows reducing operative injures and eliminating retrombosis reasons.
