METHOD OF THROMBECTOMY OF DEEP VEINS OF LOWER EXTREMITIES Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgical treatment of acute thromboses of deep veins of inferior vena cava system. Thrombectomy is performed and temporary proximal arteriovenous fistula is applied between femoral artery and large inflow or main trunk of great subcutaneous vein. End-to side anastomosis is performed. Cuff is formed from polytetrafluorethylene and monofilament thread 2/0 Prolene is fixed to it. Fistula is enveloped periadventially with monofilament thread, whose ends are passed outside and fixed on sterile plastic fixer with end length not less than 10-15 cm. After 2-4 weeks, after verification of permeability of deep veins, ends of monofilament thread are tightened under control of ultrasonic duplex scanning of blood flow on general femoral vein more proximally than level of fistula application until blood flow in fistula stops completely. Thread ends are tied up on sterile plastic fixer and two weeks later loose ends of thread on skin are tightened and cut off.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to eliminate arteriovenous fistula distantly without performing reoperation.
