FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: initial water 1 is fed into a conditioning reservoir 2. A stream of recycled water which has been anaerobically treated flows under gravity through a line 10 into the conditioning reservoir 2. The formed wastewater mixture is pumped from the conditioning reservoir 2 by a pump 3 at the bottom of the up-flow reactor 5 through inlet distribution systems 6. Water flows upwards through a dense anaerobic silt layer. Biogas and a mixture of a solid phase, liquid and gas form due to anaerobic decomposition of contaminants in the waste water. The formed mixture is fed into a three-phase separator 8. Gas is removed by angled plates 12 through a line 7. Purified waste water comes out through line 9.
EFFECT: invention improves anaerobic wastewater treatment.
