FIELD: treatment of water, industrial and household waste water.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an anaerobic treatment device for treating waste water and a method of purifying a fluid. Anaerobic treatment device comprises tank (10) of reactor, made with possibility, during operation, of suspended layer of sediment formed in lower part, inlet (12) of fluid medium for supply of inflowing stream into reactor tank; gas collection system (13), gas and liquid separation device (30), ascending pipe (22) connected to gas collection system (13) and outputting into device (30) for gas and liquid separation, discharge pipe (24) connected to device (30) separation of gas and liquid and extending into tank bottom (10) of reactor, outlet (16) of fluid medium, containing means of adjustment of height of level (19) of fluid medium in reactor tank in specified range. Fluid level control means comprises hydraulic valve (15) configured to adjust the height of fluid in the reactor tank in a predetermined range, a fluid level sensor (17), anemometer (33) configured to measure the rate of formation of gas in the anaerobic cleaning device, and a control unit configured to control hydraulic valve (15) in order to change the height of the fluid level in reactor tank (10) based on the fluid level determined by the fluid level sensor (17) and the gas generation rate determined by anemometer (33).

EFFECT: technical result consists in adaptation of anaerobic treatment device to waste water with different concentrations of dissolved organic carbon and to different resistance of suspended sediment layer.
