FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: diamond drilling bit includes housing and matrix divided with flushing slots into reinforced working sectors with diamond elements; the above sectors have transverse cross section in the form of rectangle and rectangular trapezoids the inclined edges of which are directed to opposite sides. Working sectors of the bit are located step by step; at that, leading sectors are reinforced with more qualitative diamonds in comparison with other sectors. Sectors of trapezoidal shape are oriented with their inclined edges in turn towards walls of the well and core; at that, length of leading sectors is more than length of adjacent sectors, and their inclined edge is located on the side of the well walls. Quantity of leading sectors shall not be less than three and they shall be located uniformly in circumferential direction of the bit edge.
EFFECT: increasing drilling operating efficiency of the bit by improving the hole making and mechanical drilling speed owing to optimum location scheme of matrix sectors.
