FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: device for detonation initiation in pipe with hot mixture includes detonation pipe equipped with generation system of primary torque moment, in which there installed is shaped obstacle in the form of convergent-divergent nozzle; at that, convergent part of nozzle has curved shape with focus lying in the kernel of flammable mixture flow, and divergent part of nozzle represents flattened cone; generation system of primary impact wave consists of ignition source and turbulator for turbulisation and acceleration of flame front to visible flame speed of 550-750 m/s with formation of primary impact wave with Mach number of not more than 2.5-3.0, and before the nozzle there is the pipe section without any obstacles with length of not less than L=V·τ, where V - visible flame speed, τ - delay time of self-ignition of flammable mixture at normal reflection of impact wave from rigid wall, which provides spatial separation of turbulent flame front and front of primary impact wave; at that, between convergent and divergent parts of nozzle there additionally installed is clutch with length along 1m pipe axis of not more than 1.5 D, where D - hydraulic diameter of detonation pipe. Flattened cone of divergent part of the nozzle is straight or curved and its length is at least 9 D, where D - hydraulic diameter of detonation pipe. As turbulator there used is Shchelkin spiral.
EFFECT: invention allows performing the combustion transition to detonation at minimum power costs for initiation of detonation and at minimum pre-detonation distance.
