FIELD: fuel combustion devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the detonating fuel combustion methods and can be used to initiate the pulse detonation in the fuel-air mixture in power plants, pulse detonation engines. Fuel-air mixture pulse detonation initiating method is in that generating the primary shock wave and then making the small energy impact onto fuel-air mixture in front of the leading shock wave front. As a small energy impact, using the action of the selective laser radiation, with absorption of which the mixture oxygen molecules transit into the singlet-delta state O2(a1Δg) and accelerate the fuel combustion chemical reactions, wherein impacting with the laser radiation onto the fuel-air mixture in local areas in front of the leading shock wave front with leading in time smaller, than the oxygen in the singlet-delta state relaxation time O2(a1Δg), at the moment when the leading shock wave velocity is lower than the detonation velocity in the fuel-air mixture in the Chapman-Jouguet mode, and the laser radiation energy is established from the sufficiency condition for increasing the leading shock wave velocity with transition to the detonation nonstationary oscillatory mode.
EFFECT: decrease in the detonation in fuel-air mixture pulsed initiation subcritical energy is lower than with the combustible mixture consecutive ignition by electric discharges.
