FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for activation of detonation in pipe with combustible mixture consists in generation of primary shock wave and in successive multiple power effect onto front of running shock wave from sources of combustible mixture self-ignition caused by reflection of shock wave from regular profiled obstacles set in pipe and having shape of teeth. They are formed by crossing curvatures with focuses lying in centre of combustion mixture flow due to periodic focussing of reflected pressure waves into the central part of shock wave front in nearest vicinity of front in centre of flow of combustion mixture. Mixture in the pipe is ignited for generation of primary shock wave. Flame front is turbulised and accelerated by means of a turbulator to visible velocity of flame 550-750 m/sec generating primary shock wave with the Mach number as high, as 2.5-3.0. Further, turbulent front of flame and shock wave front are separated in space. Into generated space separating turbulent front of flame and front of shock wave there is periodically focused reflected pressure waves into central part of front of shock wave in the nearest vicinity of front in centre of combustion mixture flow for local multiple power effect onto front of running shock wave. As a turbulator there is used Tchelkin spiral. Profiled obstacles have a shape of teeth formed with crossings of curvatures of various or similar geometric form with focuses in centre of combustion mixture flow.
EFFECT: higher processability and raised efficiency of multiple local power effect onto front of running SW (shock wave) due to space separation of turbulent front of flame and front of running SW at minimal power output for activation of detonation and minimal pre-detonation space.
