SUBSTANCE: described is a sensor for analysing a valuable document (12) in its coverage area (54), having at least one electrical component (46) for converting electrical energy to sound waves and/or electromagnetic fields, mainly optical radiation, for analysing the valuable document (12) and/or for detecting sound waves and/or magnetic or electromagnetic fields, mainly optical radiation, from the valuable document (12) with generation of measurement signals and a holder for the electrical component (46), having a depression (124) or an opening (60) for at least partial accommodation and fixation therein of the electrical component (46) and at least one conductor strip (74, 76) which passes on or in the holder, said conductor strip being connected to at least one electrical terminal lead (68) of the electrical component (46).
EFFECT: simple design of the sensor and compactness thereof.
