FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to an extrafocal nail osteosynthesis in Guerin's (Le Fort) fractures. Vasilyev arch bars with locking loops are applied. Intact zygomatic bone bodies are drilled to insert titanium nails. A bulb-tipped K-wire is delivered through a palatine process of maxilla. A sharp edge of the K-wire is modelled from an oral spoke and shaped as a hook. A face skeleton is reduced by traction of a free edge of the wire. The titanium nails and the K-wire are fixed on a bearing metal arch. Dental rubber rods are attached to the locking loops of the Vasilyev arch bars. A kit for the extrafocal nail osteosynthesis in Guerin's (Le Fort) fractures contains a K-wire with a spherical tip, a bearing metal arch, Vasilyev arch bars with locking loops, dental rubber rods on the locking loops, two titanium nails, three fixing clamps, a titanium nail wrench, a fixing clamp wrench. The titanium nails are provided with a threaded section and have diameter 3 mm, length 60 mm, and the threaded section is 15 mm long. The K-wires are the titanium nails are fixed to the bearing metal arch by three fixing clamps.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables more precise reduction, reduced risk of secondary fragment displacement.
