SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, traumatology and orthopaedics. A rib panel fixation device for a multiple fractured rib represented by a K-wire and components of an Ilizarov apparatus, comprises of two portions one of which accommodates 3-5 shaped wire fragments of the diameter 1-1.5 mm implanted in patient's chest tissues over an area of a floating rib panel, with one ring-shaped and other pointed end, while the second portion of the device is designed for extension for the first portion and comprises hook-like wire fragments of the diameters 2 mm, a female threaded arm, a threaded nail, two plates, four bolt pin fixation devices, and seven nuts of the Ilizarov apparatus kit.
EFFECT: invention provides higher clinical effectiveness in the patients suffering a thoracic injury and a multiple fractured rib.
