DEVICE FOR OSTEOSYNTHESIS OF MULTIPLE FRACTURES OF RIBS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/64

Abstract RU 2702249 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for osteosynthesis in multiple unstable fractures of ribs. Apparatus for osteosynthesis of multiple fractures of ribs comprises an external fixation apparatus consisting of repositioning blocks. Reducing unit includes support plates equipped with longitudinally arranged, oval, through holes, ribs, nuts, bone rods, equipped with threaded ends. Distal end of the bone rod is made with the possibility of connection with the support plate by means of a threaded connection by means of two nuts installed on opposite sides of the support plate. Proximal end of the bony rod is conical, equipped with a cutting edge and self-tapping thread for connection with bone tissue of the ribs. Edge hook is made in the form of U-shaped bracket. Bottom edge of foot of smaller length on outer side is equipped with bevel. Threaded hole is made at the center of the side surface of the longer leg to allow threaded connection of the hook with the proximal end of the bone shaft. In the lower left corner there is a blind hole of a smaller diameter under the spoke, to exclude turns of the costal hook when the bone rod is screwed into it.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of reduction of sternum fragments in any plane, with reduction of operative injures, improvement of reliability of fixation of a breast complex and exclusion of the possibility of migration of structural elements, reduction of operation time, providing a mobile way of life of the patient.
