FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a device for fixation of fragments in a flail chest fracture. Device for fixation of fragments in case of flail chest fracture contains metal pins and spring metal staples, each of which is made for fixation of section of damaged rib. Free ends of spring metal staples are bent downwards, shape and angle of bending correspond to adjoining part of costal surface. Spring metal staples are bent in the plane in the form of two unclosed ring-shaped lugs arranged in series one after another, made to create a spring action of the staple and to pass metal pins through them, these pins connect spring metal staples to each other to form a solid structure for limiting mobility of bone fragments. Ring-shaped lugs are located in one plane with free ends of spring metal brackets, on the side opposite to free ends.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to provide strong fixation of flail chest fracture without additional injuries of soft tissues, rib periosteum and damage of intercostal muscles.
