FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to respiratory therapy apparatuses and methods that involves prescribing a respiration associated therapy (e.g., oscillatory, continuous etc.) . A respiratory therapy apparatus comprises a body and an interrupter valve assembly. The body accommodates an injector for patient, an outlet, a chamber and a feed injector. The interrupter valve assembly is connected with the body and accommodates a control port ensuring a fluid connection of the injector for patient and a first chamber, and a valve body selectively blocking the fluid flow through the control port. The passive fluid flow is not found in excessive pressure to the feed injector, and the interrupter valve assembly interacts with exhaled air with generating a PEP-effect. The active fluid flow is supplied to the feed injector, and the interrupter valve assembly works so that to generate a CHFO-effect. The respiratory apparatus can serve as a passive oscillatory PEP-apparatus, and when connected to an excessive pressure source - as an active apparatus.
EFFECT: apparatus is able to generate oscillatory pressure pulses for breathing in response to air flow generated by a patient's expiration or connected to the fluid source with excessive pressure (eg, air, oxygen etc) or in both cases.
