FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of tubes with spiral ribs. Proposed method comprises twisting tube with longitudinal ribs at local heating. With tube rear end entering twisting bush twisted section is subjected to local heating to stop lengthwise feed and rotation. Then, clamped tube is detwisted for elastic strain degree. Now, tube, without elastic strain, is withdrawn from twisting bush with tube detwisting angle calculated by formula: θ=α·L, where α is specific elastic strain factor for tube lot, degree/metre; L is actual length of twisted tube, metre.

EFFECT: higher efficiency, reduced costs.
