FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for identification of valve position consists in application of identification code on section of surface. The identification code corresponds to a sequence of marks. The marks are oriented along line of marking. Automated recognition of marks is ensured with the code. A pulse signal is generated at reading the identification code. The signal differs depending on direction of identification code reading. The pulse signal is converted into a digital binary code. The latter is compared with a reference; a position of the valve is identified at matching obtained digital code and reference.
EFFECT: upgraded measurement accuracy of rotation angle of rod.
