FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing hydrogen chloride from organochloride wastes involves thermal oxidation of organochloride wastes, absorption of hydrogen chloride with water and absorption of hydrogen chloride from absorption hydrochloric acid. Thermal oxidation of organochloride wastes is carried out at ratio of organochloride wastes to oxidising agent equal to 0.80-1.05 based on the oxygen excess coefficient. The oxidising agent used is nitric acid solutions with concentration 56-99.0 wt % or nitrogen tetraoxide, or a solution of nitrogen tetraoxide in nitric acid, or a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen with oxygen concentration 30-75 vol. %. Gaseous oxidation products are diluted with azeotropic hydrochloric acid with weight ratio of azeotropic hydrochloric acid to organochloride wastes equal to (0.6-1.2):1, while maintaining temperature in the reactor not higher than 1300°C.
EFFECT: invention enables to lower power consumption when producing hydrogen chloride from organochloride wastes.
