METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF GASTRIC AND DUODENAL INVOLVEMENTS IN ACUTE AND EARLY CEREBRO-SPINAL INJURES Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC G01N33/48 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: cytological analysis of biopsy materials is performed. Epithelial cell and neutrophil count in 100 cells is recorded. A neutrophil-epithelial index (NEI) is determined. If by the 7^th day, the increase of neutrophil count and the decrease of epithelial cell count as compared by cytogram values and an endoscopic presentation of the first days from the moment of admission to hospital, while the NEI value ranges within 0.12-0.16, possible inflammatory changes of a gastric and duodenal mucosa is predicted. If observing by the 14^th day, the increase of neutrophil count and the decrease of epithelial cell combined with the NEI value ranging 0.72-0.99, erosive-ulcerative changes in the gastric and duodenal mucosa are predicted. If observing by the 21^st day, the stabilisation/decrease of neutrophil count and the stabilisation/increase of epithelial cell combined with the NEI value ranging 0.56-0.70, stabilisation and regression of an erosive-ulcerative damage of the gastric and duodenal mucosa are predicted.

EFFECT: use of the method allows estimating operatively dynamics of the damage of the gastric and duodenal mucosa in acute and early cerebro-spinal injures.
