The scanning unit has a master unit 1, a power amplifier 2, a circulator 3, a transceiving antenna 4, a high frequency amplifier 5, a phase detector 6, a computer 7, a first heterodyne 8, a first mixer 9, a first intermediate frequency amplifier 10, a second mixer 11, a second intermediate frequency first amplifier 12, a first correlator 19, a multiplier 20, a low-pass filter 21, an optimising peak-holding controller 22, a controlled delay unit 23, a range indicator 24, a second heterodyne 25, a third mixer 26, a second intermediate frequency second amplifier 27, a second correlator 28, a threshold unit 29, a switch 30. The transceiving unit has a piezoelectric crystal on whose surface there is an aluminium thin-film interdigital transducer connected to a microstrip antenna 14 and a set of reflectors 18.
EFFECT: high noise immunity and accuracy of determining location by suppressing spurious signals received over image and combinational channels.
