The scanning unit has a master generator 1, a power amplifier 2, a circulator 3, a transceiving horn antenna 4, a high frequency amplifier 5, a phase detector 6, a computer 7, a heterodyne 8, a first mixer 9, a first intermediate frequency amplifier 10, a second amplifier 11, a second intermediate frequency first amplifier 12, a correlator 19, a first multiplier 20, a low-pass filter 21, an amplifier 22, a controlled delay unit 23, a range indicator 24, a first 25 and a second 28 90°-degree phase changer, a third amplifier 26, a second intermediate frequency second amplifier 27, an adder 29, an amplitude detector 32, a switch 33 and a differentiator 34. The transceiver has a piezocrystal 13, a microstrip antenna 14, electrodes 15, buses 16 and 17, a set of reflectors 18.

EFFECT: high noise immunity and accuracy of determining distance to filled bio-objects or their remains by suppressing spurious signals (noise), received over a mirror and a composite channel, and using a derived correlation function.
