SUBSTANCE: access points may dynamically regulate transmission power and/or carrier detection threshold values in order to allow multiple access points to communicate in parallel. In certain aspects, access points exchange node information, including RSSI and neighbouring node addresses. Node information may be used to detect concealed nodes and estimate their noise levels. Transmission power and/or carrier detection threshold values can be modified as a function of distance between source and destination access points, noise from concealed nodes, transmission speed and/or path loss.

EFFECT: high throughput and reduced data loss.
