SUBSTANCE: invention refers to heat engineering, namely to regenerative heat-exchanger operating method that contains rotor installed with the possibility of rotation through which there flows is, at least, one first heated gas volume stream and, at least, one second cooled gas volume stream. Incoming first gas volume stream enters rotor through its first end surface and leaves it through second end surface in a form of outgoing first gas volume stream. Leakage volume stream is caught at rotor first end surface and directed to incoming first gas volume stream, or/and leakage volume stream is caught at rotor second end surface and directed to outgoing first gas volume stream. Invention also refers to regenerative heat-exchanger that can realise this method according to invention.
EFFECT: improvement of heat output.
