FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of testing steel for resistance to microbiological corrosion involves detecting and culturing corrosive bacteria, holding the test samples in a water-salt medium infected with an enrichment culture of said bacteria, and evaluating resistance of test steel on the presence, depth of corrosion damage and/or quantitative and qualitative composition of corrosion products. The corrosive bacteria are extracted from scrapings of corrosion deposits from the surface of oil-field equipment previously used. The biologically active medium used is a sterile oil-rich water-salt medium containing sodium thiosulphate, in which enrichment cultures of extracted bacteria are inoculated. The biologically active medium is additionally enriched with sterile oil every 10-15 days. The biologically active medium is also aerated. Additional inoculation of bacterial is carried out every 5-7 days and water-salt medium is renewed every 5-7 days.
EFFECT: high reliability of results of testing resistance of steel to microbiological corrosion.
