FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: according to procedure for comparative evaluation of steel resistance to micro-biological corrosion samples of tested steel are held in bacterial medium for not less, than 48 hours. Further, bio-film formed on their surface is cleaned, and bacterial cells are lysed. Mass concentration of protein is determined in produced homogenate; resistance of tested steel to micro-biological corrosion is evaluated on base of this concentration. Also mass concentration of protein is determined by colorometric estimation.
EFFECT: quantitative estimation of bacterial cells growth, rating assortment of steel grades in short time; also the less mass protein concentration is present in bacterial suspension, the higher is resistance of steel to investigated kind of corrosion.
