FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to devices used in orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery. Device for treatment of congenital cleft lip and alveolar process contains construction from self-polymerising plastic, whose shape copies shape of alveolar processes for fixation to palate plates. Device is provided with unit of compression or unit of distraction, each of which is made of, at least, one wire made from material with shape memory effect. Wire is bent in form of cylindrical spiral or sinusoidal wave, its ends being fixed to wire fixing elements, installed in construction from self-polymerising plastic.
EFFECT: reduction of risk of disturbance of construction fixation to fragments of alveolar processes, as well as reduction of necessity of device correction in process of treatment.
