FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method involves gasification of carbon-containing materials in gasificator, metal coating of iron-ore raw material in the reducing unit, supply of metal-coated raw material and scrap to electric arc furnace for further melting, steel refining in the ladle-furnace. Generator gas obtained in the gasificator is divided into two flows - low and high pressure flows in the ratio of 1:1.2÷1.3, which is determined with the operating conditions of the reducing unit and steam-gas turbine plant in the closed cycle. At that, hot LP generator gas is purified and supplied as the reducer to the reducing unit for metal coating of iron-ore raw material. HP generator gas is cooled, purified and supplied to cogeneration steam-gas turbine plant as generator gas. At that, electric power generated in steam-gas turbine plant is used in electric arc steel and alloy melting furnace.

EFFECT: invention allows achieving high non-waste production by using all primary and derived energy carriers in common independent cycle with considerable economy of primary fuel consumed for electric power generation.
