METHOD FOR DETECTING AMOUNT OF COLLECTED PARTICLE SUBSTANCE AND COLLECTED AMOUNT DETECTOR AND EXHAUST CONVERTER Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC F01N3/02 G01N9/00

Abstract RU 2433284 C2

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method for detecting collected amount of a solid particle substance represents a method for evaluation of the collected amount and aims at evaluation of the collected amount of the solid particle substance collected in a collection can by mounting the collection can in a certain place in a flow channel through which the gases containing the solid particle substance flow, and involves: a stage of radiation which provides emission of electromagnetic waves at frequency within tens GHz to several THz onto the collection can from an outer side of the collection can; and a stage of detection which provides detection of electromagnetic wave intensity which have been transmitted through the collection can, and then substitution an intensity value in an expression relation between the intensity and the preset collected amount, and calculation of the collected amount of the solid particle substance. A detector for the amount of the collected solid particle substance contains a filter (2) for HF collection, a microwave transmitter (30) for electromagnetic wave radiation at frequency ranging within several tens GGz to several THz towards the filter (2), a microwave receiver (31) designed for detection of the electromagnetic wave intensity transmitted through the filter (2), and a computer designed for calculation of the collected HF amount by the detected intensity. And also an exhaust converter.

EFFECT: provided easy and high-accuracy detection of the amount of the collected solid particle substance.
