FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: system to control operation of a multiphase screw pump 1 comprising at least one feed screw enclosed into a body, having at least one suction nozzle 2 at the inlet 2 and at least one discharge nozzle 3 at the outlet. The system comprises inlet and outlet buffer reservoirs 4 and 5 installed at the inlet and outlet of the pump 1 and connected to it serially by a system of pipelines, through which a multiphase medium or gas is continuously pumped, and bottom nozzles of these reservoirs are connected to a suction nozzle 2 of the pump 1. In the inlet buffer reservoir 4 there is a level metre 18, by signal of which rotations of the feed screw in the pump 1 go down as fluid appears in the inlet buffer reservoir 4 on completion of gas plug passage.

EFFECT: increased reliability and efficiency of operation of multiphase screw pump during pumping of multiphase media and its higher efficiency.
