SUBSTANCE: at the outlet the compressor is connected to a diffuser, comprising a circular flange arranged towards the exit side and along the compressor impeller and limiting the circular cavity behind the impeller, which is ventilated by air extraction at the outlet of the compressor, besides, coaxially around the diffuser's flange there is a circular sheet installed, which, together with the flange, limits the circular channel, connected at the front with facilities of air extraction at the front stage of the axial compressor or at the outlet of a cooling heat exchanger so that at the temperature, which is lower than the temperature of air coming out from the compressor, air circulates in the circular channel from the inlet to the outlet to ensure cooling and ventilation of the diffuser's circular flange.
EFFECT: reduced temperature of impeller material and avoidance of its damage.
