FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: three-component magnetometer sensors are arranged in the centre and at the ends of a bar, and in-between distances are measured. The bar is actuated to measure incremental induction; if the readable signals are detected, the bar is oriented on the maximal incremental induction, and a system of nonlinear equations with a magnetic moment excluded is solved with regard to a required radius vector. Then the results are adjusted by the bar enabled to approaching the source directly, and said system is solved once more.

EFFECT: more precise localisation.
