FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used, for instance, in thermal imaging instruments and systems built on the basis of area thermal radiation imagers (ATRI). To realise the method, the right and left lenses with identical focus distances are placed so that the distance between the centres of their entrance pupils makes the basic distance B, a high-frequency switching device is installed behind the lenses, which serially directs the flows of radiation from the left and the right lens to the ATRI, at the same time the high-frequency switching device is arranged so that for each lens it forms the image of objects space within the sensitive site of ATRI. In a unit of electronic processing of signals and synchronisation, signals from ATRI are processed, operation of the high-frequency switching device and ATRI are synchronised, and the output signal is generated for further processing or transfer to a device of stereo images visualisation.

EFFECT: increased field of view, increased range of recognition and detection of objects with the help of optoelectronic devices.
