FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: system has an optical system, a matrix photodetector, an electronic processing, control, synchronisation and range-finding unit, a pulsed laser, a system which collimates laser radiation, a television monitor and a power supply. The optical system forms the image of objects. The electronic processing, control, synchronisation and range-finding unit is electrically connected to the matrix photodetector, the pulsed laser and the television monitor. The power supply provides electric power to the matrix photodetector, the electronic processing, control, synchronisation and range-finding unit and the pulsed laser. The optical system is fitted with an optical filter with a transmission band which matches the radiation of the pulsed laser. The optical system has an intermediate real image plane in which said optical filter is fixed. Geometric dimensions of the filter are smaller than the dimensions of the real image of the object space formed by the optical system in the intermediate real image plane.

EFFECT: high speed of detecting camouflaged objects or objects which are hard to detect in passive mode, enabling simultaneous operation in passive and active modes, possibility of increasing the range of vision of the system in active mode.
