FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: method is realised with the help of a device, comprising an optical system, having a variable focus distance, a switching device, a matrix photodetector device, a module of electronic processing. Two optical channels with various focus distances are organised from fixed components of the optical system. The switching device is made as high-frequency, providing for formation of a sequence of alternating frames developed by optical channels with various fields of view in the plane of the sensitive site of the matrix photodetector device. The output signal is generated either by a solid flow containing information of every field of view or is broken into two flows corresponding to a narrow and wide fields of view.
EFFECT: provision of simultaneous online analysis of object images in various fields of view produced in the optical-electronic instrument with one matrix photodetector device.
