FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention is applied in fodder production and relates to methods for production of fodder compositions for dogs of heavy-built and athletic type of exterior. The method for elaboration of the fodder compositions recipes for dogs of heavy-built or athletic type of exterior involves dog categorisation and elaboration of a dog fodder composition recipe containing food components useful for the categorised dog. A heavy-built dog is characterised by at least one feature chosen from the group consisting of (1) body-weight index exceeding 90 kg/m2 and (2) energy demand less than 120* (kg of ideal body weight)0.75 kcal a day as well as by at least one additional feature chosen from the group consisting of (1) value of chest circumference ratio to waist circumference lower than 1.5; (2) low value of ratio of body surface to its weight in kg; (3) value of ratio of fat weight to muscular weight higher than 1; and (4) fat weight exceeding 15%. An athletic dog is characterised by at least one feature chosen from the group consisting of (1) body-weight index lower than 90 kg/m2 and (2) energy demand exceeding 120* (kg of ideal body weight)0.75 kcal a day as well as by at least one additional feature chosen from the group consisting of (1) value of chest circumference ratio to waist circumference higher than 1.5; (2) high value of ratio of body surface to its weight in kg; (3) value of ratio of fat weight to muscular weight lower than 1; and (4) fat weight less than 15%.

EFFECT: said invention usage will allow fuller provision of a dog classified as belonging to the said category with useful components.
