FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to decoration of three-dimensional projects and namely to modelling method and device of decorative elements of three-dimensional objects on the basis of two-dimensional picture of those decorative elements. Projection method of two-dimensional picture on surface of three-dimensional object differs by the fact that one reference curve is set on two-dimensional picture and one projection curve (600, 800) is set on surface of three-dimensional object. At that, one reference curve and one projection curve has reference point (O, O1, O2, O', O1', O2'); one projection ratio (605, 805) is determined; point of two-dimensional picture (610, 810) is chosen; at least one abscissa of projection of the chosen point is defined at least as per one abscissa of the chosen point and as per one ratio of projection (615, 815); ordinate of projection of the chosen point is determined depending on ordinate of the chosen point and from one projection ratio (620, 820); ordinate plane containing point of one projection curve and determined at least with one projection abscissa of the chosen point is defined; and projection of the chosen point on surface of three-dimensional object is determined depending on projection ordinate of the chosen point.

EFFECT: optimisation of projection process of two-dimensional picture on three-dimensional object surface.
