SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering, particularly to body cavity mapping. Technical result is achieved by projecting a pair of angular coordinates of corresponding locations from inner surface to corresponding locations in two-dimensional (2D) plane in accordance with given coordinate system conversion; calculating corresponding elevation values from 2D plane in corresponding locations based on at least a radial distance associated with the respective projected pair of angular coordinates; and imaging on the image of the partially flattened surface of the cavity surface, wherein partially flattened surface is elevated from 2D plane in accordance with calculated corresponding values of lifting in corresponding locations.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of visualizing on the display an image of a partially flattened surface of the inner surface of the cavity.
