SUBSTANCE: apparatus for controlling data source and receiver connection during network data communication has in each of the connected devices an optical modulation unit with a retroreflector, an access and control unit, a signal relay unit which is common for all connected devices, where the fist unit is fitted with a light modulator, a beam splitter, a photodetector which receives signals from the third unit, the second unit switches the state of the light modulator in the first unit, the third unit continuously emits an optical signal at one frequency, receives that signal which is modulated by the modulator of the first unit, and relays said signal in form of an optical signal at another frequency, which is received by the photodetector of the first unit.

EFFECT: eliminating conflicts when accessing data sources and reducing power consumed by the data source.
