SUBSTANCE: method comprises exchanging optical signals between devices in which a message source transmits message signals and a continuous optical signal in different frequency ranges, using a demultiplexer located therein, to a connecting module provided to a receiver. Message receivers and all devices monitoring said switching transmit to the module continuous optical signals and the module returns the continuous signals to their sources using modulated message signals. In case of a fault, a module is replaced with any from a group of fully functional modules.
EFFECT: improved fault-tolerance of conflict-free distributed wireless switching of digital devices.
