FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: unit for control of thickness of sheet material consists of two rollers rotating around their axles. Each roller is set on its shaft. Sheet material passes between them. The shaft of one roller is composed in the area, whereon the roller is set and consists of movable and fixed sections with a compression force sensor installed between them and reacting to force occurring between the said areas of the shaft. The device comprises the said unit.

EFFECT: reliable record of force occurring between rollers at bank note passing.
