FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Invention covers device and method of adjusting strip geometry at moulding machine incorporating rolling mill. Preset strip profile is calculated depending upon strip measured thickness at mill inlet, given requirements to profile and flatness are satisfied. Feedback differential signal generated proceeding from lengthwise deformation is computed by control system on comparing strip profile thickness at mill outlet with present magnitude. Said control signal is generated to control the device that influences geometry of rolled strip. Reference signal of advanced control and/or sensitivity vector may be computed subject to preset thickness profile and used in generation of control signal to be sent to control device. Flexure controller, opening controller or coolant feed controller or combination thereof may make said control device.
