FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to equipment for processing discrete or solid materials at combined or separate effects of gas pressure of up to 500 MPa and temperature of up to 2000°C developed inside working chamber of gasostatic extruder. Gasostatic extruder comprises foundation and container with top and bottom plugs to form its working chamber, and cooling system communicated wit said container and plugs. Closed-circuit cooling system incorporates NC-chiller made up of cryogenic system. Note here that pipeline feeding cooling fluid from chiller to container incorporates normally-closed electromagnetically driven valve. In particular version, cooling circuit closed-circuit may be made up of container and plug cooling circuits connected in series, while bottom plug feed pipelines may be provided with fast-release valve joints.
EFFECT: higher reliability, longer life, possibility to control temperature over billet height.
