FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves magnetic separation in two successive steps. At the first step, magnetic separation is carried out with magnetic induction equal to 0.02-0.04 T, with extraction of scrap iron. At the second step, magnetic separation is carried out with magnetic induction equal to 0.1-0.6 T to obtain a magnetic fraction containing pyrrhotine. The scrap iron obtained at the first magnetic separation step and the non-magnetic fraction obtained at the second magnetic separation step undergo lime treatment and cyanation. Another version of the method involves magnetic separation with magnetic induction equal to 0.1-0.6 T, to obtain a collective magnetic fraction containing pyrrhotine and scrap iron, which then undergoes magnetic selection with magnetic induction equal to 0.02-0.04 T, with extraction of scrap iron and a low-magnetic fraction containing pyrrhotine. The non-magnetic fraction and scrap iron obtained after magnetic separation undergoes lime treatment and cyanation.
EFFECT: creating conditions which prevent sulphides which do not contain gold from falling into the cyanation process.
